Civil / Miscellaneous
Civil and miscellaneous cases in Probate Court are, for the most part, litigation cases initiated pursuant to the applicable section of the Ohio Revised Code. Forms do not exist for a Complaint or Petition on most civil actions. You must refer to the Ohio Revised Code and Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure to initiate a civil action properly in Probate Court.
Please note that when filing a Complaint or Amended Complaint, a Summons must be prepared completely and provided for each Defendant listed in the Complaint. Only one Defendant should be listed on each Summons.
