In addition to academic coursework, youth attend Life Skills classes. Elements of the Life Skills Curriculum include:
Health
Sexual Education (HIV/AIDS) is presented periodically by the MVJRC Registered Nurse
Vocational Outreach Program
Business owners and professionals share experiences and career development options. In-house projects introduce employability skill sets such as horticulture and food service.
GRADS
The "Graduation, Reality and Dual-Role Skills" program is provided by the Greene County Career Center and focuses on parent training for residents with children.
PEACE
The "Positive Experience for African-American Character Development" program is a weekly group for African-American residents to promote positive attitudes toward self, family and community.
