History

The Greene County Auditor’s Geographic Information System (GIS) Office was established in 1991 to develop a comprehensive GIS to support the needs of government agencies and the residents of Greene County. Since that time, Greene County GIS has won numerous awards for its innovative use of GIS technology.

Travis Owens | GIS Manager

Travis is the GIS Manager for the Greene County, Ohio Auditor's Office. With over 19 years of experience in local government GIS, Travis is passionate about creating innovative solutions using geospatial technologies. Travis graduated summa cum laude from Columbus State with a major in Geographic Information Systems and has a background in digital design and visual communications through Sinclair Community College and the Warren County Career Center.

Emma Jewell | GIS Technician

Emma has been with Greene County since 2021 when she graduated from Miami University. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Geography and Sustainable Development with a certificate in GIS. Here at Greene County, she is responsible for cadastral maintenance, addressing, custom map requests, and several other GIS duties. Her favorite thing about GIS is that it is a beautiful intersection of technology, art, and historical information.
