Gas Aggregation
Gas Aggregation Program for Unincorporated Areas of Greene County
In this day and age of rising costs, saving money is a goal for most people. The Greene County Board of Commissioners wants to help homeowners reach that goal. The Board negotiates with gas generation suppliers for a discounted rate. All eligible residents (depending on your zip code/mailing address) and small businesses in the unincorporated areas of the County are enrolled in the program. However, if they do not want to be a part of the program they can choose to “opt out” of the program.
Greene County has selected IGS Energy of Dublin, Ohio as the supplier of natural gas to participants in its Natural Gas Aggregation Program. Residents that qualify will automatically be enrolled in the Greene County Natural Gas Aggregation Program unless you notify IGS Energy that you do not wish to participate.
An “Opt-Out” letter will be mailed out August 25, 2023 to all qualifying eligible residents and small businesses in the unincorporated areas of Greene County. The Opt-Out deadline is SEPTEMEBER 15, 2023.
RATE- Fixed rate of $0.583 cents per CCF through October 2025; with no enrollment or early termination fees.
Under the Greene County Natural Gas Aggregation Program, the rate will be a fixed at $0.583 per CCF, plus applicable state and local taxes through your October 2025 billing period. Qualifying residents will be automatically enrolled in the Greene County Natural Gas Aggregation Program unless you choose to “opt out” – that is, to not participate. There is no cost for enrollment and you do not need to do anything to be included. You may cancel your enrollment from this program at any time with no cancellation fee by providing notice to IGS Energy.
If you want to be excluded from the Greene County Natural Gas Aggregation Program you must return the enclosed “Opt-Out” form or contact IGS Energy at 1-877-353-0162 by September 15, 2023. If you do not opt out at this time, you will be enrolled in the program until it expires with your October 2025 billing period.
If you do nothing you will soon receive a letter from CPE notifying you of your transfer to your community’s new program with IGS Energy as your supplier. If you wish to remain in the program, simply ignore that letter.
