Adult Protective Services

Purpose

Adult Protective Services are provided to the elderly who are in danger of harm and / or are unable to protect themselves. Greene County Department of Job and Family Services is mandated to investigate and evaluate all reports of suspected abuse, neglect, and exploitation of adults age 60 and over.

Adults who experience abuse, neglect or exploitation are offered supportive services, as available, for protection and self-sufficiency.

How do I file a discrimination complaint? If you believe that you have been denied or delayed services for which you are eligible because of your race, color, national origin, religion, gender, political affiliation or belief (food assistance only), disability, age, or citizenship (WIOA), you must file your complaint within six months of the date on which the incident or treatment happened.
