Responsibilities
The Ohio Department of Commerce's Division of Unclaimed Funds is responsible for the collection, maintenance, and return of lost or forgotten accounts in the name of owners whose last known address is in Ohio. Ohio Revised Code requires the county to maintain a list of all unclaimed money it has accumulated. These funds are required to be maintained in an unclaimed funds trust for a period of five years.
Funds on Deposit
The most recent list of Greene County residents and entities with funds on deposit with the division is available to view
online. The unclaimed funds report lists owner, address, city, zip, and amount due. In order to claim funds due, follow the instructions found on the Quick Links at the right for the Ohio Division of Unclaimed Funds.
