The Greene County Engineer and Highway Department is responsible for the maintenance of 324 miles of county roads and 283 bridges. This responsibility includes the repair, replacement, and improvement of roads and bridges as well as snow and ice removal during the winter.
The County Engineer is not responsible for roads and bridges in municipalities, except bridges on through routes of general purpose.
We encourage you to visit the Road Responsibility Map to determine if your inquiry is on a county road, township road or municipal road. When you click on the road, you will find information on which entity is responsible for the maintenance of that roadway and corresponding contact information.
If you have a problem or concern on a road or bridge in the county, please contact us. If it is not our road or bridge, we will direct you to the proper authority.
