Mounted Search Team

The Greene County Mounted Search Team (GCMoST) is a non-profit organization. We are volunteers, working to help city, county, state, and other government agencies find, aid, and assist the lost and/or injured hiker, hunter, adult, child, or others in need.
These mounted search volunteers give their time, talent, and energy to provide resources we otherwise would not have at our disposal. A horse and rider can reach wooded or isolated areas not visible from an air search, and reach them faster than someone on foot. They are a value to our department and our community, particularly with the realities of economics and continuing budget cuts for municipalities.
