Effective January 2, 2017, The Greene County Recorder’s Office will no longer affix a volume and page to recorded instruments. An instrument number, as well as, time and date stamp will still be affixed to all instruments for recording. The instrument number will begin on the first business day of each year with the number ‘1’ and follow in a consecutive sequence. 

For example:
 
Year 2017:       2017000001,    2017000002,      2017000003, and so on.
Year 2018:       2018000001,    2018000002,      2018000003, and so on.

Any instrument which makes reference to a document recorded prior to January 2, 2017, will still need to include the appropriate Volume and Page of reference.
 
Any Instrument which makes reference to a document recorded post January 2, 2017, will need to include the appropriate Instrument Number of reference.
