[ARCHIVED] Tails on Trails 5K Run/Walk

Local dog owners are invited to bring their favorite canine as they walk or run during the “Tails on Trails 5K Run/Walk,” a fundraiser for the Scout Dog Park scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at James Ranch Park, 177 Fairgrounds Rd., Xenia. Participants and their leashed pets will head out on the scenic Creekside Trail from James Ranch Park for the 5K event. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Scout Dog Park in Xenia, the only public dog park in Greene County; a third paddock is tentatively planned to begin construction this year. Cost for the fundraiser is $25 per human participant with the first 50 to register receiving a one-of-a-kind t-shirt showing support of the Scout Dog Park. Participants must be over the age of 18 or accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is requested with on-site registration beginning at 9 a.m. prior to the event. For more information or to register for the fundraiser, call Greene County Parks & Trails at 937.562.6440 or email [email protected].
