The full Resolution reads as follows:
"On behalf of the members of the House of Representatives of the 131st General Assembly of Ohio, we are pleased to commend Greene County on being ranked in the top fifteen percent of counties in the state for health outcomes by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
This prestigious honor is a fitting tribute to Greene County, for its residents have attained a praiseworthy record of implementing such practices as increasing physical activity, reducing tobacco use, and making high quality nutrition choices. The county was ranked twelfth for health outcomes, fourteenth in length of life, and sixteenth in quality of life, and its accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on itself but also on its citizens, for their efforts have certainly made the area a pleasant and friendly place in which to live and work.
America is only as strong as her individual communities, which are unique and make a significant contribution to the culture of our state and nation. Throughout its history, Greene County has become known for its residents' cooperation, integrity, and willingness to work hard--exemplary qualities that are still manifested by its citizens today.
Thus, with sincere pleasure, we applaud Greene County on its recent accolade and extend best wishes for continued success."
