At their meeting last Thursday, August 11th, the Greene County Board of Commissioners appointed Mr. Paul Newman, Jr. to the position of Director within the Department of Development.

Mr. Newman has most recently worked for the Fairborn Chamber of Commerce as their Executive Director; however, prior to relocating back to the Fairborn area, he spent more than 15 years in various roles such as Executive Director of Technology Strategy and Executive Director of Internal Communications with The Estée Lauder Companies in New York City.

Mr. Newman was one of 41 applicants for the position of Director, but ultimately was the clear choice for the role.

Greene County Administrator Brandon Huddleson indicates Mr. Newman’s experience “gives him valuable insight as to the needs of business.”

“His work in the Fairborn community gives him a great perspective on the needs of Greene County communities and many contacts he can leverage for the benefit of the County as a whole,” said Mr. Huddleson.

Greene County Commissioner Tom Koogler said, “We’re all very excited about Paul being part of the team and what he brings to the table for this organization.”

Mr. Newman will officially begin his duties with Greene County on Monday, August 22nd.
