[ARCHIVED] SURVEY REVIEW LOCATION TO CHANGE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 3, 2017

Effective Tuesday, January 3, 2017, all surveys requiring review will be checked by the Tax Maps Department at 69 Greene Street in downtown Xenia. The building is located behind the Courthouse at the corner of Greene Street and Market Street. There is on street parking available. The office is located off the first floor lobby thru the door on the left. The Tax Maps Department is under the Greene County Engineer and will work under my direction and advice. Nothing will change in regard to the review except the location. Documents can be electronically submitted to [email protected] . It is expected that all surveys and survey records will meet the minimum requirements of the State Board of Registration, the ORC and the latest Conveyance Standards as adopted by Greene County. This includes a vicinity map unless the survey is tied to the intersection of 2 roads so the location can be easily found.  All surveys that were submitted to the Engineer’s Office prior to January 3, 2017 and are being resubmitted will be returned to the County Engineer for final review and approval.  Surveyors are reminded that all surveys that are under 10.000 Acres require the approval of Greene County Regional Planning (RPCC). You are referred Section 410 and 412 of the Subdivision Regulations of Greene County, Ohio and Section 711.131 and 711.133 of the ORC on this matter. The law requires that for this approval that you must submit an instrument of conveyance, in other words a deed, with the survey sheet for RPCC approval. This approval will be done in a maximum of 7 days per the law. Any question on this matter shall be directed to RPCC.  I trust that you will help make this a smooth transition. Please do not bring, e-mail, or send surveys to this office for review after January 2, 2017 as you will be directed to take it downtown for review unless it is for a review of a survey that required corrections and was submitted prior to this date.
