What is the safest way to dispose of old medications?

Take unused prescription and over-the-counter medications to a "drop- box" near you. These drop- boxes are provided by several local law enforcement departments in Greene County. Remove all pills from bottles or blister packs. Place the pills only in a Ziploc bag and drop them off.
