Weights and Measures inspectors inspect any weighing or measuring device used in commercial transactions. Inspectors work with the general public by filing complaints concerning devices and consumer goods. The department goal is to assure equity in the marketplace for both consumers and merchants.


Fuel meters, retail devices, price verification systems, packaged goods, mulch, firewood, taxi meters, timing devices, are all examples of devices inspected and tested in the county.
